Orlando Jones is a stand-up comic and actor from the United States. He is well-known for playing the African god Anansi on Starz’s American Gods and for serving as one of the original cast members of the sketch comedy series MADtv. From 1999 to 2002, he also served as the 7 Up ambassador.

Jones wrote the Fox television series Roc in 1991–1992, and he co-produced The Sinbad Show in 1993. He also appeared briefly in the FOX comedy Herman’s Head in 1992.
Jones has been a part of numerous voice-acting productions. He starred in Yuletide in the ‘hood in 1993, and in King of the Hill, an animated comedy TV series, he made a special appearance in 1998. Later, he provided voices for the computer games Halo 2 and another TV show, Father of the Pride, in which he played Marine Sergeant Banks.
